Your Feelings and Emotions Matter
What is Counselling and what can I expect?
The focus of counselling is to enable you to navigate your life in a way that is manageable for you, my role is to support you and to help you make meaning of your experiences.

There are many reasons why people seek counselling: lack of direction, a sense of feeling lost, grief or perhaps repetitive patterns that are causing you concern. I believe that everyone is valuable and has the capacity and ability to make new decisions in life, I see this as a place for self-discovery and growth.

I believe that counselling gives you the tools to become more attuned to your feelings, thoughts, and desires. I offer a free initial telephone consultation, giving us both the opportunity to hear each other and for you to ask me any questions you may have.
You can either contact me via email or by phone for us to arrange a time that is convenient for us both. You may feel apprehensive and that’s OK, I’ve listed a few questions below that I may ask you.
-
Have you had counselling in the past, if yes what was helpful or not?
-
What prompted you now to seek therapy?
-
If you are unsure as to why, what are your main concerns?
In the first session, we will fill out some paperwork which will include contact details, current concerns, past history and what you hope to get out of the sessions. This gives us the opportunity to discuss your needs in more detail.

How much will it cost and how long is each session?
Individual sessions face to face are set at £55, Online sessions at set at £50. Sessions are 50 minutes and will be weekly on a regular day and time; I offer short-term and long-term counselling. The number of sessions will depend on each individual’s circumstances, this can be assessed and discussed to suit your needs.

I have a number of low cost counselling sessions available for people that are suffering financial hardship.
